Elyse Della Rossa (Owner, Physiotherapist)
Elyse graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University in 2008 and immediately went on to complete her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Elyse is also a certified contemporary medical acupuncture practitioner and has taken multiple advanced level acupuncture courses. Further, she is a pelvic health physiotherapist who has a keen interest in women’s health, pregnancy and post-partum care.
Elyse is experienced in treating a wide range of orthopaedic and sports injuries and believes in taking a holistic approach whereby addressing faulty movement patterns and correcting them early on to prevent re-injury. Elyse uses a combination of manual therapy, soft tissue manipulation and acupuncture to treat injuries and provides specific exercise programs to restore flexibility, strength and normal movement patterns.
Elyse comes from a strong background in sport herself, starting off as a competitive figure skater and going on to play hockey and football at McMaster University. Elyse has worked with numerous sports teams and most recently participated in the 2015 PAN AM Games as the chief physiotherapist for the Canadian Racquetball Team. Elyse is delighted to be part of the exceptional Core Team.
Kevin Brown (Physiotherapist)
Kevin has been practising since 2006 and has successfully treated a wide variety of orthopaedic conditions. He utilizes a strong manual therapy focus, while incorporating an individualized exercise program to each of his clients. The combination of his expertise and sense of humour provide for positive outcomes and a unique and fun experience.
Kevin is a graduate from the University of Western Ontario with an honours Bachelor Kinesiology degree. From there Kevin went on to complete his Master of Physical Therapy at D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY.
Kevin has successfully completed advanced training in Acupuncture, Mulligan techniques, ACL rehabilitation, Soft Tissue Release, Shoulder rehabilitation and has completed a Lumbo-Pelvic certification program. He is thrilled to be part of such an accomplished team!
Jim Salituri (Physiotherapist)
Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1991 from the University of Toronto. In his over 25 years as a Physiotherapist, he has attended numerous post-graduate courses, including all levels of training through the McKenzie Institute of Canada and certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada.
Jim has been a successful Physiotherapist in the Mississauga area since 1993 and he is very grateful for the numerous clients and referring physicians who have put their trust in him year after year. Jim provides very specific, individualized care and spends time educating his clients to enhance their recovery, prevent re-injury and ensure successful outcomes. He likes to maintain a very relaxed, yet professional clinical environment, with a touch of fun thrown in.
In 2014, Jim co-founded Attune Aging Strategies & Solutions with his wife, Anita, who is an Occupational Therapist. They are also the proud creators of the Exercise Essentials Video Series for Seniors.
Jim believes in a holistic rehabilitation approach and is committed to delivering exceptional Physiotherapy services. He is very excited to be a part of the team at Core Therapeutics!
Jane J. Bai, MSc (Applied) PT, MSc, BMSc
Jane completed her Masters of Physical Therapy education at McGill University. Her interest in pelvic floor physiotherapy stemmed from taking an elective course taught by one of the founding leaders in pelvic floor physiotherapy, Claudia Brown, and since then she has been inspired to continue her education in this field. Through Pelvic Health Solutions, she has successfully completed levels I, II and III which have given her many tools in her ‘physio-toolkit’ to help manage persistent pelvic pain cases, urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and various other pelvic pain conditions related to sexual dysfunction or pre- post-natal related pain.
Jane is a graduate from Western University with a bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master Degree in Biochemistry. In her spare time, she played for the Western Mustangs Badminton team for six consecutive years.
Jane takes a biopsychosocial approach to practice and will work with you to get to the root of the problem and to custom tailor a treatment plan to get you back to doing the activities you love to do! She believes that client education is a key component to treatment but also crucial for prevention of further injury. She has experience with pediatric, adult and geriatric populations through her work, physiotherapy placements, and volunteering experiences and can speak mandarin and very basic French. Jane is excited to be Joining the Core Therapeutics Team!
